<<those are famous streams >> Yes indeed, sometimes gets pretty crowded. This past fall fished the no kill stretch on the Beaverkill just below Junction pool in the pouring rain. Me and some other guy had the pool all to our selves for several hours. I also have been going to the Delaware river the last few times back.Last year I almost bought 3 acres with over four hundred feet frontage right on the east branch of the Delaware river [or was it the west branch?] anyway the Delaware is one of the premier Trout streams on the east coast. And get this only $30,000. Unfortunately that wicked stock market took it away. I don't know if you know the story of the Delaware so I'll tell you. A train carrying Rainbows for a private Trout club around the turn of the century broke down right near the river.Rather than see the Trout die someone went down in history and dumped them in. Thus a natural fishery was born. There is no stocking in the Delaware. Yet it has probably the best Rainbow Trout fishery on the east coast. Water's cold all year as it comes out of a dam at the head waters. Brown ,Rainbow, walleye, small mouth and a run of shad every year make for a great fishing experience. A friend of mine caught a thirteen pound walleye .Browns come from the Beaverkill which flows into it.I have relatives in the Catskills so thats why I go there instead of some of the places you mentioned. Fishing thread I dunno probably wrong time of the year.
