Probably is but I do not do either. There is no telling with snow. Our first year here in 2006 there was a five foot snow drift across my driveway. Snow persisted the entire winter. Last year most of the snows melted within days.

We get a lot of sun. Weather here is very local as the crow flies. We can get 2 feet and the next mountain over might just have a dusting or nothing at all.
