PLAYING US FOR SAPS

How much do you think our recent military buildup in the Middle East cost? Millions? Billions?

Now it seems that Clinton has called off not one, but two attacks on Saddam Hussein's military facilities.

To put it simply…. Saddam is playing Clinton line a flute.

Can you count the number of times that Saddam has locked out the weapons inspectors and then relented at the last possible moment?

How much is all of this costing the taxpayers of the United States?

How much do you think Saddam accomplished during the weeks the inspectors were gone? Did he move some of his weapons to new hiding places? Did he install new machinery in as yet undisclosed locations to manufacture more weapons?

Don't you know this was his game plan all along? He'll kick out the inspectors and declare that he is no longer going to cooperate. Then he'll sit back and watch the United States spend billions of dollars in a big time military buildup. Then, at the last minute, he'll back down. What has he lost? Nothing. Not one thing. He jacks around his enemy, preens in front of his people, and walks away without a scratch.

Several months ago someone ( I can't remember who ) came up with a good idea on how to handle Hussein's posturing. It's a simple three-step process.

Step One. Inspectors arrive to inspect a facility for evidence of weapons of mass destruction.

Step Two. Inspectors complete their inspection without interference. If the inspectors are not allowed to complete their inspection, or if they are turned away, go to step three.

Step Three. Within hours after inspectors are turned away from a facility, a cruise missile permanently removes that facility from any future inspection lists.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

This is a late addition to Nealz Nuze ... it comes from Shawn Tapley. He details a brilliant comparison between Saddam Hussein and a certain corrupt president:

Shawn says that Saddam is merely copying the master's technique"

Step 1. Delay, delay, delay, lie, obstruct the investigation, claim illegal privileges.
Step 2. Smile to the world and ask, "Why is this taking so long?"
Step 3. Vilify the parties conducting the investigation.
Step 4. When trapped with no possible escape, apologize/comply.
Step 5. Claim victory.

You nailed this one, Shawn.

HOW DOES ROY BARNES STAND ON A NATIONAL ID CARD?

It seems that the National Governor's Conference, dominated, by the way, by Republicans, rather likes the idea of a national ID card. Furthermore, this conference is working with the White House for a revitalization of Executive Order 13083.

It sure would be interesting to know how Roy Barnes stands on this issue.

YEAH, RIGHT. IT'S ALL TALK RADIO'S FAULT

Larry King, Ted Turner's CNN lap dog, loves to hate talk radio, a venue he claims to have invented.

Recently King wrote of the revelations surround Thomas Jefferson and his relationship with a slave. King wrote " If he had to testify, do you think Thomas Jefferson would have been impeached? No chance, there was no talk radio."

The premise of King's statement is that Clinton impeachment hearings have been scheduled because Clinton had an affair with someone. King knows this is untrue.

Why, then, do people like Larry King continue in their efforts to portray the Clinton inquiry as one about sex? Simple. Liberals find the issue of an affair easier to deal with than the issue of perjury or obstruction of justice. Liberals are very uncomfortable discussing concepts of honesty and law. This is because they rely on dishonesty to promote their agenda, and they wholeheartedly believe in a government of men rather than a government of law.

And why this hatred of talk radio? It's because talk radio is the one and only element of mass media in this country that is not dominated by the left.

There's something rather odd about that, don't you think? What is the one element of the media in this country that maintains the closest contact and the greatest interaction with the people? Talk radio.

Could it then be said that talk radio more closely mirrors the attitudes and thoughts of the American people then, say, network television newscasts or Larry King's talk fest?

No wonder the left hates us.

GUESS THE DAY ……

…….for Jonathan Pollard's release. Remember, word is that Clinton promised the release of Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard in return for Israel's cooperation in a new peace accord. Clinton later said that no such promise was made. I guess we're all supposed to believe that Clinton is telling us the truth on this one.

So, now there is a "review" of Pollard's status being conducted by the White House. In an unprecedented move, Clinton has excluded the Justice Department participation in this review.

It seems that the handwriting is on the wall, doesn't it? Care to guess the day for Pollard's release?

FIRST HULK HOGAN, THEN …….

The New Yorker Magazine reports that Ted Turner is seriously considering running for President. Ted Turner denies it.

There really isn't enough time to say all that needs to be said about such a possibility. If it comes to pass, we'll have a field day.

Suffice it to say, if there is one thing that could make me long for the days of Hillary Clinton as First Lady, it would be having that traitor Jane "socialism is the only way" Fonda succeed her.

THE BATTLE FOR UNSKILLED JOBS

Here is a lead paragraph from a story that you'll probably miss in today's Atlanta Constitution.

"Birmingham -- Southerners meeting here to explore ways to improve race relations in the South expressed concern Sunday that the exploding Hispanic and Asian immigration to the region could lead to ethnically charged competition for unskilled jobs in the future."

The article doesn't tell the whole story. So, unrestrained by the shackles of political correctness, I'll tell you what they're driving at.

Two words. Work ethic.

The "ethnically charged competition" these people in Birmingham are worried about is not a competition between races -- between Blacks and Hispanics. It is a competition between work ethics. It is a competition between who will give you an honest eight hours labor for eight hours pay, and who will look for every excuse to slack off.

Ask any landscaper, contractor, golf course superintendent or other person who hires large amounts of unskilled labor this question. "All other things being equal, who do you want to hire? Blacks or Hispanics." The almost universal response will be "Hispanics."

Hey, folks. It's cultural, not racial. But it's real.

Who do you think has the nerve to address the real problem here?
