BlueArc Touts NAS Test
lightreading.com
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- BlueArc Corporation, provider of the world's highest performance enterprise-class
network storage systems, announced today that a study from eTesting Labs reported, "exceptional
network throughput performance by the Si7500 Storage System." The Iometer and NetBench test
results reinforce BlueArc's position as the network attached storage (NAS) performance leader. The
acceleration of data delivery to applications and users allows BlueArc customers to consolidate their
storage infrastructure and dramatically lower the total cost of ownership.

The BlueArc Si7500 Storage System set a new precedent for network storage solutions in achieving
bandwidth of 1,782 megabits per second (Mbps) throughput in Iometer tests and 1,315 Mbps
throughput with an average response time of 0.71 ms in NetBench tests as measured by eTesting
Labs.

"These are the most impressive NAS numbers we've seen to date," said Steve Duplessie, senior
analyst, The Enterprise Storage Group. "To be honest, I didn't think it could be done."
