If the idea of the fertile crescent is correct, those people ARE US. It's like 100,000 years and we aren't doing particularly well either especially since the entire of idea of Democracy has been dealt yet another blow with the farce of Roberts' confirmation hearings.

I heard that the room was nearly empty and that even the press failed to show up. Amazing. One party rule is indeed what is going on here. That Roberts portrayed Rehnquist in the mock up of the Gore v Bush selection is bizarre and creepy beyond words.

The entire Bush administration is a disaster and this disaster is what's running Iraq. It would have taken a miracle to make this turn out as they predicted: $1.7 billion and 1.5 weeks with flowers and flags (like Paris!) greeting coalition troops. Do you remember what they said before they went in? Do they simply get a pass for the results? If the Bush administration turns out to have simply stolen billions for their own personal bank accounts, will that also be acceptable? When will you say ENOUGH?

You Republicans are a scream. You demand so little of your 'leaders' and when they give you even less you still support them.

I'll bet you're more discriminating about the beer you buy than the government you rally behind.

Odd, what.
