OK, I can see your point on acquisitions. Why though, if the companies are going to keep any profits instead of returning them to the shareholders(the owners of the companies) shouldn't the companies instead spend the profits instead on marketing. How do the mining companies or the shareholders benefit from the additional production which will result from additional exploration & devolpment in an already soft market?
