With the PC biz on the skids and server revenue on the way down, looks like CPQ made the bulk of it's profits on a small segment of it's business. A snippet from today's WSJ... CPQ's hardware business is starting to look like IBM's, except that IBM was smart enough to build up a strong high end services biz to take up some of the slack... John Compaq's computer-services unit, while contributing only 21% of revenue, was responsible for the bulk of the quarter's operating profit. The unit earned $254 million, up 20% from year-earlier profit, on revenue of $1.9 billion, up 4%
