If you don't like what your Democratic Party has become, the best way to transform it is to withhold your vote from the conservative base that has taken hold of the Party. This is exactly what the Republicans have done to its moderate and liberal members. You remember the days of Packwood from Oregon, Chaffe from Rhode Island, Weicker from CT? These guys were moderates and in the case of Weicker and Chafee actually very liberal. Even Nelson Rockefeller was somewhat of a moderate liberal. The Republicans removed these moderate/liberal elements from their party. The Dems need to do the same to the right wing/conservative elements in their party. Playing the stupid lesser of two evils game, only delays what needs to be done: purge the Democratic Party of its right wing/conservative roots and transform it into a true progressive party.

Bernie Sanders has been great. But he couldn't beat the conservative right wing Democratic machine. We the people need to let the Democratic Party know that we won't support their conservative right wing candidates any longer. Because if we continue to support them in the name of the lesser of two evils, we cheat ourselves, our principles, our ideals and what we really want our Party to stand for.
