Hi Mark; I certainly expect great things from DADL. They have great products and an experienced management. As I sometimes say, when talking about purchasing a company's shares, you may be drawn to the company based on their products/activities, but you buy it based on an assessment of the experience and backgrounds of its management leaders. In DADL's case, they have terrific brands and an experienced management.
I haven't seen much, if any, ads for their products yet, but that should change as they get going nationally soon. And just in time for the big summer season!
Not much action on this thread yet, but just watch when the earnings start to come in and profits pile up. So far the company has been spending money big time getting the plant in shape, and purchasing refrigerated trucks for distribution. As the CFO of another of my favorite companies, Infointeractive, said yesterday, I listened to the annual meeting on the internet over Real Audio, the most important factor in their activities is not the product the company makes but DISTRIBUTION. That was a bit of an eye opener, but on reflection, I guess you can have the greatest product in the world but if you don't get it to the customer, you're toast!
The brands like Neilson, Cadbury, Ben and Jerry's, Weight Watchers, Tropicana, Mr. Cookie Face, are the best and I fully expect nothing but the best from DADL. May have to wait a while for profits though. Waiting, it has been my experience in investing, is the name of the game!
Cheers,
