Here you go for the source notice my bold and italics blogs.barrons.com August 26, 2009, 11:01 am Vonage’s Astonishing Run Continues; Volume Explodes Posted by Eric Savitz Oh my, goodness gracious me.
Vonage (VG) this morning has extended its wild run. The stock is up 65 cents, or 40.9%, to $2.24. That follows a gain of 165% yesterday. The now 7-day run in the stock started with the stock at 38 cents. The shares have since rallied 495%.
Perhaps the most amazing new thing this morning is the volume: the stock already has traded close to 35 million shares, nearing the 38.5 million VG shares which traded yesterday, the highest ever one-day turnover in the stock. In just over a day, total trading volume in the stock is 46% of the company’s 157 million shares outstanding - and based on data from Yahoo Finance, close to 100% of the float.
As I noted yesterday, Vonage has declined to comment specifically on the activity, but has confirmed that demand has been high for its new $24.99 flat rate Vonage Global plan that includes unlimited call to more than 60 countries. The company also confirmed that it plans to enter the mobile application market.

Comment by VonageLover - August 26, 2009 at 11:07 am From what I have been hearing, new subscriptions have jumped to 25000 a day. Comment by Insider - August 26, 2009 at 11:09 am It’s going to $10. it cannot be stopped; put together VG, AT&T, apple &iPhone…something is cooking..it’s big… Comment by VoIP Guru - August 26, 2009 at 11:16 am This is confirmed. New subscriptions have indeed jumped to 25000 a day. The international calling feature has attracted customers who have immigrated from all around the globe as they can now get to call their country of origin in the same flat rate as local/national. With this rate, you are looking at 9 million subscribers over a year quadrupling the growth. Comment by Insider - August 26, 2009 at 11:18 am too many people selling for stock to maintain its run up let it keep coming down and i will continue to buy buy buy Comment by stock trader gooroo - August 26, 2009 at 11:43 am I heard this stock should hit $3.35 by the end of the week.
