A sale or spinout invites new owners and perhaps small investors, followed by an IPO. There are other small firms that have found an expansion into device design together with their existing specialized IC design is the economical path to profit. Think of how Altair became an ODM plus fabless firm overnight when it joined Sony. There are other examples in the news recently too. This means that fabless IC design is becoming a commodity service of interchangeable value and adding ODM capability brought success to these companies.

It certainly implies a consolidation with existing tech sector activists... owners of ODM or fabless firms or their bankers as investment firm owners.
Could this lead to a new customer or a combination with SEQUANS?
