I've got some breaking news here for you, my man. #1 You're head's buried in the sand. #2 Your posts are an insult to human intelligence. #3 Many people, including myself, don't want an "atoning lamb", to take the rap for us. In fact, many people, myself included, feel that the concept of an "atoning lamb" that takes away the "sins" of the world actually keeps people in a state of delusion. Many feel that people have the power in themselves to attain eternal happiness. In fact, many believe that to look outside oneself for help in attaining eternal happiness is to forstall it's attainment. As for raising and rising from the dead, just cheap parlor tricks that have been embellished over the ages. And I wish you would use something besides the "revealed word of God" argument to support you're theory. All the eye-witnesses are dead and there is no corroborating written evidence besides the National Enquirer, which got it's story third hand, at best. I don't choose to accept Jesus's or anyone else's sacrifice. Jesus lost. He got nailed. I don't want to follow the example of a loser. And I SURE don't want him as my "lamb of atonement". And you know what the really amazing thing is?? I'm not worried one bit! I feel great! I don't need Jesus...or God, for that matter. I feel complete confidence. Strange but true. Jack |
