 Global MAINTECH Announces Application for
 NASDAQ SmallCap Market

 MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Global MAINTECH Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: GLBMD;
 Frankfurt: GOC), a worldwide leader in systems for data centers, today announced that it has submitted its
 application to the NASD for listing its common shares of stock on the NASDAQ SmallCap Market. According to
 the NASD, the process will take approximately six weeks from today.

 This listing will be an appropriate complement to the recent listing of the Company's common stock with the Third
 Segment Market Segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

 ``Listing the Company's common stock on the NASDAQ SmallCap exchange is an important milestone for us,' said
 Jim Geiser, CFO of Global MAINTECH. ``Prior to making this application we had preliminary conversations with
 authoritative people at the NASD regarding our qualification for this market. We expect the process to be pretty
 routine based on those preliminary conversations. Although the NASD does not make promises in advance of the
 application, the conversations helped the Company reach the decision that it should apply for this listing.'
