Two points: Last week I bought an Atapi Zip drive from an internet
vendor for $42 bucks. While a special price, that indicates they can
sell them to OEMs for $25 to $30, not too much more expensive than a
1.44 floppy. This opens the door to widespread OEM inclusion. Two, I
noticed J&R selling the Jaz2 for $399. Also, an important price
point. If this is the trend, then market share and profits should
improve. Rock-the-Richard-Head, (I don't want to call him by his
nickname Dick), got his way for a brief moment with the price below $5
bucks, but so what, this is the market bottom for a lot of tech stocks
now. I'm holding on for the long term.
