The American Association for the Advancement of Science holds an annual conference on the relationship of science and religion. I have looked into the proceedings a couple of times, and it is not unusual to have a number of scientists make similar avowals. Apparently, Nature is so wonderfully constructed that it strains credulity to believe that it arises through the operations of chance.
