Do you even feel safe on the streets, knowing that any other person might be armed and shoot you at any moment? No, I feel safer on the streets knowing that any person who might want to rob me does not know whether I have the means to defend myself or not. In the UK, he knows you do not. In regards to Iraq, previous behavior by Saddam Hussein leads one to a different take on the matter than that you pose.
