JohnC, What too many fail to see in the SS system, is that the money extracted from the wages of workers, is not kept in a protected fund, which is bad enough, but the real kicker, is that because of all the red tape in any government operation, only 30 cents of each dollar taxed, is used to pay benefits. 70 cents of each dollar goes to the ridiculous expense caused by government waste by the process of that mountain of red tape.
