--More than 10,000 Taliban fighters, pinned into the Taliban's last remaining redoubt apart from their southern stronghold of Kandahar, have been seeking safe passage out of Kunduz under the umbrella of the United Nations.

now would the hawks here nuke 'em?

would that be a good or bad move in the poker game?

the theory is that if the fighters are released through the u.n. that they will go on to fight again.

is this some sort of modern-day, politically correct dunkirk?

now i have questioned u.s. policies before but since we're there i say we carpet bomb them with b-52s and 1,000 pound bombs until they surrender.

then bring the survivors out as slaves. we could bring them into america and make them all transexuals as part of 'operation frankenfurter.' we should do that with all islamic pows... make them shemales...

meanwhile we need to get all of our politicians enlisted in the u.s. armored cavalry.

there also needs to be open enlistment and a move to an suv-based army in the infantry divisions.

since this is at least partly about oil it is our duty to make all infantry mechanized. with mechanized infantry older people could serve. i'm sure at least a few ww2, korea, vietnam, and desert storm vets are itchin' to get back out there.

round up all of the surviving veterans of foreign action and make them ncos and officers. then put the new enlistees under them.

create the first completely mechanized army; all ground vehicles and helicopters and no more foot soldiers.

i'm 38; a bit old to be a 'ground-pounder.' in armored cav or mechanized infantry someone like me could shoot a .50 cal or drive a vehicle; if the president and congress came up with some sort of viable plan of conquest, with the promise of booty i'll bet lots of people like me would be willing to $ign up.

let's make this the american millennium...
