Y'know, I've always wondered if Ascend's biggest mistake was not join x2. Ascend hurt themselves bad due to the ROK delays, and other misc. technical screw-ups.

IF Ascend were to have gone x2, would the ITU standards still be delayed this long?
If Ascend were to have gone x2, would Ascend or 3Coms stock have suffered this much?
If Ascend were to have gone x2, would Lucent even have bothered with ROK?
All these IF's. Oh well c'est la vie, what's done is done.
