alok, well said. Sunw's 75%(my guess) revenue comes from servers, which usually sell for 800k upto 3m. Why do people think sunw is competing w. msft. two totally seprate businesses. hw vs. sw. sunw should be compared w. ibm, hwp and DEC. in all the 12 qurters i have followed this company they have missed earning only once (last Q. according to s&p report). I went thru all the earnings that came in today after close in briefing.com, most of them missed, bay, klac, lscc, amtd, kmag... list goes on... I think intc bad news caused lots of doubts on sunw's ability to meet earning. anyway, lets see how things work out tomorrow. glad u did not waste money for puts. Sunw really has to PROVE it's self all the time which is good becasue you know they will be on their toes. -------------------------------------------------- ok to reply following: I am glad sunw is spending $$ in R&D and is not having layoffs like intel. Shows confidence. I do not expect a big pop but atleast I hope we don't go down to 35 ! <sun is a rare exception which succerssfully executes its business model, even with large R&D expenses for future growth>
