OT For Rande Is, re: Star Wars/The Phantom Menace It is only because you are a fan of the original that you were kind enough to say that " The Phantom Menace" was boring. What you really meant was: IT SUCKED!!. Seriously, it had no plot that anyone over age 7 would find interesting, the acting was pathetic and it lacked any human emotion. It was a never-ending stream of Hollywood special effects, and not very good ones at that. Compare "The Phantom Menace" to "2001: A Space Odyssey", Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece, and you quickly realize that it is not in the same league, even though "2001" was made nearly 30 years ago!
