It's all part of the cabal, you know. TED came up to meet us in SF. Me and Kevin, too. Wex wasn't around that day, as he had an upper-executive Syndicate meeting to attend. Kev had to call up the limo rental company to take the car back: "Well, you'll have to tow it home your own dead self. The right blinker is broken, the right rear-view mirror is smashed, and the right door won't open." >>>"Whaddya mean? I checked that car out myself! Perfect condition &#151 and what's this about 'The right door won't open?'" TED, ever diplomatic, pragmatically offers in, "Well — the car's laying on it."
