Great Britain to sell water filtration, purification and storage units to India.
That seems to be a good idea. But the cost is prohibitive. Probably it should be subsidized by the Govt. Also the Indians living in coastal areas, short on drinking water, should get familiarized with desalination plants, as they do in some Arab countries. Again the cost is the problem. 1 billion people, 4 1/2 times the population of US, could put a strain on a country like US. A monumental task. Every task undertaken in India is that much demanding in terms of resources, manpower etc.
Why don't we put you in charge of all that is wrong with India and see how long you will last in that position? Talk is cheap, but getting it done is the hard part.
BTW, I am curious. Did you ever step in to one of the Hindu temples and try to understand a little bit about the temple, during your time spent in India? Just to get the feel of the temple. There are many temples that admit even obvious-looking foreigners in to the inner sanctum, assuming that you were a stand-out there in India. |
