The more things classified as a disease the better for the disease treaters. Think of the money to be made treating fatties now that it is a disease instead of one of the seven deadly sins. The lab coat clerics don't lack imagination in what will classify as a new disease and if obesity can be classified as a disease so can life.
Denying global warming can be labeled as a mental disease and deniers picked up on mental health warrants until they embrace this scientific theory on faith alone.

Orwell and Rand could not have invented someone as sinister as Doc. Volkow.
