Come to think of it, everything Microsoft has ever offered was bought or ripped off, then punched up a bit and put on display. If anyone can think of anything that Microsoft originated, I would be interested to find out what it is. Even his story about cornering the market on those campaign buttons when he was a page has been proven to have been factually impossible, and some consider his repeated proffering of that story to be prima facie evidence of his pathological insecurity.
