Technically it would be almost impossible to integrate I2 with Sap. It would take almost as much time to integrate these 2 products as it would for Sap to build their own solution. Thats why Sap never buys anything, whereas Psft does, Sap has a somewhat closed architecture.

Not saying it would never happen, since I2 is the leader in SCM they have more to offer Sap than just a technical implementation of SCM, what with their sales force and all.... but Oracle would be a more attractive candidate for I2.

And again, there may be no incentive for the I2 executives to sell out because they probably see SCM as displacing ERP mfg as key software in house.
