$.99 for a head of iceberg lettuce here. Are they ripping us off?
I see the elderly are complaining about prescription drug prices skyrocketing again. How can they say this...because there's "no" inflation?


Lettuce is $0.99/head here in Phoenix, and it's grown just a few hundred miles away.

As far as medicine "skyrocketing", some things increase faster than others. I'd bet tuition is increasing faster than inflation, too. But you can't single out individual items as proof of inflation or you'd have to accept that we're going into a deflationary depression because computer prices have dropped like a rock over the past several months.
