As I pointed out the other day, with more African-Americans rising to middle class, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that more blacks would be voting Republican? Ain't happening. Why?

Flap the reason is crystal clear. The rise to the middle class of blacks has been through government jobs and affirmative action which are clearly tied to the Democrat party. The graduation roles of blacks are primarily in the social sciences and that means you need government to grow in order to get hired.
What would be very interesting would be to see the voting record of blacks who have gone in the direction of business. I suspect that there one would see a more balanced vote.
