Semiconductor stocks and artificial intelligence surged in 2023 and Deutsche Bank Research believes that trend is set to continue into the future as it expects the AI semiconductor market to balloon to $119.4B by 2027, which would comprise nearly 20% of the global semiconductor market.

At the helm of the movement are shares of Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) as the two stocks emerged as clear 2023 winners while broad-based and cyclical names struggled to keep pace.

Deutsche Bank Research went on to elaborate that revenues are anticipated to advance 51% in 2024 as alternative GPUs and CPUs gain traction. Competition is predicted to support more sustainable long-term sector growth.

“Powerful trends like data growth, machine learning, and smart devices ensure AI adoption spreads across industries. AI tech giants like Nvidia ( NVDA), AMD ( AMD), Marvell Technology ( MRVL) and Broadcom ( AVGO) still hold significant competitive advantages. They remain positioned for expanding AI opportunity through development in autonomous systems, healthcare applications, and more” Deutsche Bank Research outlined in an investor note towards its clients.

“Rather than rely on one company, diversification of solutions provides healthier growth path,” the investment firm also noted.
