Chicago.
I graduated Class of '64. Worked downtown beginning Jan'65, LaSalle & Jackson Sts.
Dick Daley was the show of shows.. blueblooded Chicago, rightfully so.
I was drafted, went to VietNam (busy) and returned to Chicago. For a bit, I was seeing
a niece of one of the guys in the Giancana family. Going to work one morning, I read of his
arrest.
The mob was still shooting people & blowing up cars back then.

My father told me the mob paid for the soup kitchens in the Depression.. the city was broke.
One of my father's uncles ran afoul.. he had visitors, was given more $ than was his business, told
"don't think about doing it again" (candy and peanut dispensers on Chicago's elevated trains.. the "L's ").

The mob? Check the yellow pages in a phonebook, close your eyes, just point. Vallah ! (Chicago cop joke)

When I return, it'll be Chicago for a month, then Seattle for family & friends (whoever's not dead).

Bye for now. Good luck trading tomorrow!
