I have plenty in mind.

But let's leave the obvious example - exaggerations and lies associated with the framing of the Iraq war - and instead discuss how Bush and his administration has positioned the opposition to their policies.

They have, many times, exaggerated and outright lied about the positions of their opponents with regards to the Iraq war. They have characterized the Democrats position as 'cut and run' which offers support and encouragement for our enemies. They have insinuated that, unless we fight the Sunni insurgents in Iraq, we'll have to fight them here. They've declared that anyone who questions their competence and goals in Iraq are not only abetting terrorists, but hurting the troops. And the list of their exaggerations and deceits about the Iraq war goes on and on.

Their extremism in mischaracterizing the opposition to their fouled up war is far worse than the extremism of some of the antiwar big mouths. Why? Because their extremism has covered and abetted massive incompetence and hubris in the execution of this war. By aggressively attacking opponents, they have thrown the focus off their total blundering of this war, from the initial runup through the endless quagmire we're now mired in.
