To All, 4 and 16 Mbit DRAM pricing courtesy of Jerry Denkera on the Micron Only Thread. Jerry is a professional DRAM trader: 1mx4 $1.45-1.60, 1mx16 $5.65-6.25, 4mx4 $6.65-7.00. Keep in mind that MU's marginal cost on 4mx4 last quarter was $7.16. Yes, they will reduce marginal cost again this quarter. However, overhead will be higher so net costs could actually go up. Ex another DRAM scam like in September, things look pretty grim this quarter. So far, MUEI is the only pc boxmaker not to announce MMX boxes, though I think they have them and are just slow to announce. BTW, the chippies think MMX will be an SDRAM product, a chip MU will not produce until this summer and everyone else is producing right now. Grim and grimmer.
