I can bet you any amount of money you can afford to loose that the K7 FPU was designed by the Sunnyvale team.

Could be. Apparently the guts of the processor was designed in Austin however.

Every time AMD loses a key member of the Nexgen team, the company seems to make a giant leap forward. Atiq was a good example of this last year.
