My father was an alcoholic so I know something about that disease. Its true, Alcoholism is a DISEASE same as Aids. There is something in that persons genes that makes his body react differently to alcohol then the normal person. Once you get it, even the TINIEST drink sets you off. Personally, I think GWB was a PROBLEM drinker who ultimately probably would have been an alcoholic. But, thanks to his strong willed wife and his personal self confidence, GWB apparently had the strength to stop on his own. I agree, he should be commended for his strength of character. jdn
