Paul Allen has routinely sold millions and millions of dollars worth of MSFT stock every year or two...he was one of the co-founders of MSFT...does that mean MSFT is over-valued every time he sells some shares ???

Not that I don't agree it is important to look at insider selling....too much of it in a short period certainly can indicate a stock is near a top, but it is just one of many variables.

And, yes, I agree most people don't do enough research in picking their investments.
