John,

One of the earliest math lessons I recall was trying to find the least common denominator. This lesson is something that remains jammed in one of my cerebral junk closets along with the lyrics of "Seasons in the Sun" and trips to my room because I should have known better being that I was the oldest.

Well, as I mature, I recognize that TA like life itself have to be broken down to the least common denominator to be understood. Just because both are complicated it does not mean that one must complicate manners to understand.

Fighting fire with fire does not apply with TA.

The least common denominator which has taken me 4 plus years to figure out and perhaps 40 more to perfect is this:

Stocks can only go up, down or sideways. Taking a piece is something that you can plan for, taking it all is pure luck. Recognize the direction of the security and join in until you get an indication that things are changing.

Regards,
Jerry
