Pied - I agree there is a lot of ignorance on peoples of the world by Americans. I do know taht the turban is worn by certain Hindus and Sikhs but the head covering is definietely different for Muslims.

I am fortuante enough to understand some of these difference due to an undergarduate degree that covered mush of this. My undergrad is a BA in geography and Religious studies.

Anyway lets not paint all middle easterners with the same brush. for example, the Lebanese are largely a christisn catholic people - the ones living in Canada are.
