People who wouldn't seem to otherwise be inclined to be voting Bush et al. are lured by the the dual litmus test issues of Gay Rights and abortion. It's also the party of the Born Agains - what devote worshipper doesn't want to be on Jesus' side? Industrial blue collar cross-over votes wanted GWB because they have been made to be afraid and want to do something in response to 9/11. They also don't like gay issues and are exceedingly anti-intellectual. Never mind that this is the wrong battle with the wrong people. One has to wonder: what is really behind this fear? We know the answer... the fascists' love of order and control is a powerful argument when you make everyone think that the homosexuals, abortionists, atheists, liberals and intellectuals are burning the Reichstag while Fearless Leader defends the Fatherland.
