I think I disagree about the bailout. I'm glad it was put in to place, and I'm pretty sure I'm better off because of it. I'm pretty sure everyone is. If credit had truly frozen, and if there had been a cascade of bank failures, that would have been a huge problem for all of us- because such chain reactions are not foreseeable- in terms of how great their effects will be.

So the bailout, I think, was for all of us. Not just a few good old boys- I think it really was a rescue of the economy. Sure, we could have taught "them" a lesson, whoever "they" are, but I'm afraid we would have rather quickly found out that "them" is "us".
