These are great, I have a roomba vacuum cleaner. It didn’t learn how to open the door and run outside yet. -g- They generally run everywhere when not restricted. For mowers the boundary is usually a metal line. If you have a yard where they can’t get stuck or have a big slope they should do a good job. There are quite a few brands of automatic robotic lawn mowers, never heard of them going rogue.
