Well said, ttf. This narrow-minded investor doesn't appear to have a grasp the true costs of a database purchase. Why? Because he is full of MSFT BS. He sounds just like those MSFT attorneys outside the US Courthouse who refuse to acknowledge the ongoings in court on a particular day & attempt, miserably, to put a positive spin on the same set of facts. Save your breath. Let him piss his investment away.

The NC is alive & well. It never died. Those who are surprised by this statement never really understood what the NC really is. It was never a physical piece of hardware, but a virtual component of the new 3-tier architecture. Its the "thin client" that will emerge on many corporate desktops, even though the "thin client" will likely double as a desktop PC.

The only counter argument to make is that the NC didn't have a hard drive -- & what we will probably see going forward will. Does this make a difference to the ORCL model. Not really.
