Infoseek Corp. (SEEK) entered into an agreement with Walt Disney Co.
(DIS) at the end of 1998 that resulted in a portal that combines Infoseek's
and Disney's Internet sites. Disney purchased 43% of Infoseek's
outstanding shares; together they launched the Go Network (Go.com).

Bruce D. Smith, CFA, and Constance Cocroft of Jefferies & Co. recently
gave Infoseek a BUY recommendation and a price target of $100 after
Disney's expressed interest on June 8 in buying all of Infoseek. Although
no deals have been made, the analysts say, "News stories suggested the
structure may be a swap of Disney's non-Go Internet assets for the shares
of Infoseek it does not own, forming a separate entity with its own
publicly-traded tracking stock."

Further, the analysts feel that Infoseek's business trends are strong. "Based
upon current trends and momentum, we believe as we move into the
second half of the year, the company will have a real opportunity to
materially surpass expectations."
