Nope. the Sanders revolution is firmly rooted in the growing populist movement. For a while it looked like the Tea Party movement was there, but it quickly got co-opted by the very forces that populism rails against. It is a response to growing wealth concentration. Just look at the politics of the mid-1800s. The Republicans are drifting into the Know Nothing camp, Trump is appealing to this group, and the left is drifting towards some sort of socialism like Lincoln was.

And no, this has nothing to do with Obama. It has been a growing factor for going on 3 decades. Where it ends, no one knows. But if Wallstreet crashes the economy again, it won't be pretty. Revolutionary change is in the offing.
