Fred, The "trading halted" means the after hour trading is halted. The stocks are not only trading in the normal trading hours. They are also traded after normal 9:30-4:00 weekdays. For example, last time IBM posted better than expected earnings, the after hours trading prices were immediately up 3 points (this number may not accurate). However, the after hour trading halted also applied for bad news. The first Dow Jones News said SGI will announce a "major strategic announcement", and the company's representative couldn't be reached immediately. The second news said the after hours trading was halted. The third said, the company's representative had been contacted, but he refused to make any comment. I wish a good news also, because I have 1000 shares! Liao
