I am glad you had a good time close to home,we have found those trips are often the best. This spelling thing,did not even pull out spelling aid I got the idea & that should be good enough between friends.Lake sounds great.Canoe museum is added to the list.
Saw a neat show on PBS about the movement of furs in early america by freighter canoes.these 8-12 person rigs & the singing & camping sound fun. but what do I know,only been in 2 canoes in my life.
