richard:
I am lead to believe that it is CUMine related. No working Intel-designed RDRAM-based mobos have been previously shipped and are still not shipping at this time frame. I am commenting that Intel appears stopped the CC820 mobos as well, which is SDRAM driven.
If you are not shipping CUMine, why ship the CC820 board which is designed to go with them at this time frame.
I would have to say it is another minor hurdle to overcome before volume production.
You have to remember, we were told back in July that Schlumbger, HP and Advantest could not deliver the test equipment to the RAM manufacturers until Jan-Feb time frame. This fact has still held true. There will be no major effort by Intel to introduce 820 and 840 mobos with RDRAM until that time frame IMO.
