Gandalf is a great story. They are putting an excellent distribution chain of
VAR's and RBOCs together to sell their products. I keep hearing rumours
that Gandalf may be bought out by another company. At first it was
supposed to be CISCO and now I hear that Bell Atlantic is kicking its
tires. These are all rumours, but I understand that they have an excellent
product that will become increasingly in demand. For an excellent insight
in the future of communications, read this months spotlight in SI and the
comments under ADSL, ISDN and the future under the Communication
tab.
One thing that I fear is a decent sized correction in the market in general,
which will pull Gandalf lower. I believe that the market will correct about
5%-10% early in the new year.
