I don't think so, though we did experiment with pretty much every can we found that had that "Danger: Flammable" warning on it. My memory (though a bit suspect as it's been almost 40 years) was that spray paint gave the most impressive display - huge balls of flame and we were never tempted to keep the spray going long enough for the flame to work its way back to the can.
