x-cal.com TSE/XCL July 11, 2000 Major Companies Evaluating Sleeper A Major gold companies currently have teams evaluating the Sleeper Gold Project, located in Humboldt County, Nevada, under confidentiality and area of interest agreements with X-Cal Resources Ltd. X-Cal Resources Ltd. is preparing to exercise its option on 100% of the project and will consider proposals that will further development of the 20,000 acre, district scale property. Drill permit applications are being filed by X-Cal Resources Ltd. for the mine site area of the property. The proposed program will be carried out after exercise of the option. X-Cal Resources Ltd. has until September 30, 2000 to increase its interest in the gold project from 50% to 100% under its current agreement with Kinross Gold Corporation. X-Cal Resources Ltd. is debt free and has been consistently funded by private placements since its initial listing on The Toronto Stock Exchange in 1985. A presentation paper that describes X-Cal Resources Ltd. and its gold projects in more detail has been published and is available by contacting the Company.
