As part of its ongoing goal to encourage management to acquire and maintain increased levels of ownership of company stock and in recognition of his efforts with respect to recent debt and capital restructuring and the recent MAA filing for Xyotax in Europe, on March 20, 2008, the compensation committee of the board of directors of Cell Therapeutics, Inc., a Washington corporation, approved a supplemental cash bonus to James M. Bianco, M.D., the Company’s President and CEO of $91,938, with an additional amount to cover the taxes on such award, with a recommendation to Dr. Bianco that the payment be used to purchase shares of company stock in the market. sec.gov
